There is no substitute for finding the inwardly-generated happiness…we know, inwardly, this is where the source of genuine joy actually lives. There is much that is delightful and lovely in the world but what we discover also in our practice and what we nurture in this path and this practice is the capacity to be delighted, and not to seek that which is going to delight us, but our capacity to be delighted, to be touched, the capacity of our own hearts to be gladdened and even to find contentment in the midst of all things. It is a taste of freedom.
